DIY Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

DIY Floral Wreath

Grab an assortment of artificial flowers.
Remove the long stems from the flowers.
8" metal hoops can be found at a craft store.
Use a craft adhesive or hot glue gun to attach flowers to the hoop.
Arrange your floral layout before starting to glue. Center the mots colorful flowers, then add whites and greenery to the edges of the wreath. Flowers can either go all the way around or just partially. Keep the wreath symmetrical.

Pampering Gift Basket

Select self-care items your mom will love. Line your gift basket with assorted tissue paper. Crumple and add tissue paper to make sure all items are visible.
Make sure your basket looks full.

Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Mix 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Mix with a fork until well combined.
Pour the body scrub into a mason jar, and tie some yarn around the lid in a bow. Make your own label for a personal touch!

Custom Tea Blends

Add 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers, ½ cup dried rose hips, ½ cup dried peppermint leaf, ¼ cup dried lemongrass, ¼ cup dried orange peel, ¼ cup dried lemon verbena, ¼ cup dried wild cherry bark, and mix together.
Put loose leaf tea into a jar and seal with a lid. Tie it up with ribbon and gift with a mesh tea infuser to steep & brew loose leaf tea!
Or put tea into individual tea bags, filling with 1-2 tsp of loose leaf tea. Seal with a hot iron. Add a decorative tea tag. Cut 6-inch lengths of twine and staple to tea bag and tag. Add hot water and enjoy!

Pressed Flower Monograms

Fold paper in half and place foliage and flowers inside the paper.
Place the folded paper inside a book, and place that book under a few books for 1-2 weeks. Open to find beautiful pressed flowers!
Pick a frame and remove the backing from the frame. Measure and cut paper to fit inside the frame.
Arrange the foliage on a separate sheet of paper- be gentle and handle the foliage with tweezers.
Start with plain foliage for the background, and layer in smaller, colorful flowers.
Apply glue and transfer foliage to high quality paper. Press into place on paper and allow to dry 1 hour.
Put in a frame and gift!
